This beautiful attractive colour plate originates from and is one of a Series of Picturesque Views of Seats of The Noblemen and Gentlemen of Great Britian and Ireland as presented by F. O. Morris. A greater proportion of the drawings which originated from the publication were by Alexander F. Lydon, and printed from coloured wood-blocks using the Baxter process by Benjamin Fawcett.

CONDITION: Mild spots on outside marginal edge area, otherwise in Excellent Condition. The colors are brilliant, rich and bright. Reverse side is blank and printed on heavier quality paper.

BROCKLEY HALL,
NEAR BRISTOL, SOMERSETSHIRE, SMYTH-PIGOTT
The park is well stocked with deer, and contains a heronry of ancient date,
and far from the top of the neighboring down there is a splendid view of the
country far and near, taking in Brean Down, Cleve Toot, Cadbury Hill, Yatton,
and the coast of Clevedon, crowned by the ruins of Walton Castle,with the water
of the Bristol Channel in the distance, bounded by the coast of Wales.
A copy of the circa 1870s descriptive, which covers some wonderful landscape
history of BROCKLEY HALL and some genealogy information will be included with
the print.
