Alexandrinsky Theatre
(Academic Drama Theatre named after A.S.Pushkin)

Alexandrinsky theatre is one of the most famous in St. Petersburg, its repertoire, traditionally consisting of Russian and foreign classics' performances, lately has been replenished by a number of ballets. The famous names of V. Komissarghevskaya, V. Meierhold, B. Freindlich are connected with this theatre. Theatre is located on Ostrovsky square close to the Nevsky prospect; its architectural ensemble created to Carlo Rossi's project, is one of the most beautiful and exquisite St. Petersburg Russian classical style ensembles.
