Grand-Pré is an unincorporated community located
in Kings County, Nova Scotia, Canada. The community lies in the Annapolis
Valley. Grand Pre was founded by Acadians in the early 1680s, where
they remained until their expulsion during the Great Upheaval, which
began in 1755. Sir Robert Laird Borden, the eighth Prime Minister of
Canada, was born in Grand Pre.
