Lady Mary Dudley was the wife of Sir henry Sidney, daughter
of John Dudley, Duke of Northumberland, and sister to the queen's favorite,
Robrt Dudley, Earl of Leicester. To his lady's influence Fuller, in some degree,
ascribes Sir Henry's success and favor at court; but his own merit and her
virtue foem their best eulogium. They were exemplary in conjugal affection,
and their love and pietry were amply rewarded bt the possession of such a
son as Sir Phillip Sidney.

Suitable ageing. The image is clean, clear and sharp with beautiful depth
