POUL-A-PHUCA WATERFALL,Wicklow County,Views of Ireland,1884 Antique Steel Engraving Historical Collectible Art Print
Hollywood is a pleasant village at the end of the Wicklow Gap Road.
It has long associations with St. Kevin of Glendalough and many pilgrims
passed here on their way to the monastic city, until the practice
ceased in the last century. The Protestant church has a vaulted roof
from the 17th century. About 3km north-east of the village is the
picturesque Poulaphuca (Poll an Phuca) where the Liffey
cascades in three stages. The Piper Stones, a Bronze Age circle of
stones, lies 3.5km to the south-west of Hollywood.
