Masjed-i Kabud also knwn as "the blue mosque"
is a famous historic mosque in Tabriz, Iran. Built in 1465 during the
reign of Ak Koyunlu's Sultan Yaqub ibn Uzun Hasan. It was built
by the orders of Salehe Khatun, daughter of Jan Beigom Khatun of the
ruling royalty. The mosque was severley damaged in an earthquake in
1778, leaving only the entrance iwan.
