This monastery, situated 3 miles from florence on a platform of Monte Acuto, and was founded by the family degli Aceiajuoli, particularly Niccolo Acciajouli. It was started in 1341 from the designs of Andrea Cione Orgagna, painter, sculptor, and florentine architect. It is a magnificent. The vast court the is in front of the church is of a noble character. The chapels and the church are enriched with beautiful marble, the cloisters are decorated with paintings of the most celebrated masters. Around the the grand cloister are deposed 15 apartments all selfcontained with a small garden for the priests. Strangers are received and lodged for 3 days in this house.
