A beautiful steel engraving of circa 1860s -

(General Info Only, Not included with print) The capture of Fort Ticonderoga was an event early in the American Revolutionary War. On May 10, 1775, Vermonter Ethan Allen and Colonel Benedict Arnold surprised and captured the small British garrison at Fort Ticonderoga. Cannons captured at the fort were subsequently hauled away and used to fortify Dorchester Heights and break the stalemate at the siege of Boston. (wikipedia source)
